PETG (Polyethylene Terephthalate Glycol) is designed for excellent durability. It's more impact-resistant than PLA, making it ideal for functional prints, such as mechanical parts, prototypes, or even outdoor applications.
It's not as brittle as PLA, which means your prints are less likely to break under stress and PETG is resistant to chemicals, including many solvents and oils. This property makes it suitable for applications where exposure to chemicals is a concern.
Compared to some other filaments such as ABS, PETG is relatively easy to print with. It doesn't require a heated bed, but having one can still be beneficial. PETG is also compatible with most 3D printers that support PLA. So, if you already have a 3D printer, chances are it can handle PETG.
